Accomplishments

Peter Hopkinson Prize
This prize is awarded once annually under the will of Peter Hopkinson, a former postgraduate and research worker in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. It is given in recognition of excellent performance in a final-year project, to a student who is enrolled on either a Bachelor or Master of Engineering programme offered by the department. On occasion, the prize may be shared between more than one student.
2nd Place - UKSEDS Small Satelite design competition
As an entry for the “UKSEDS Small Sats” design competition 2017, we compiled a report into the design and feasibility of a small communications satellite constellation capable of providing 50 Mbps data connectivity to worldwide users. The report is linked here. We were successful in achieving the 2nd place prize for our entry.
